I am proud to serve the College and 台湾Swag along-side our dedicated faculty and staff. Through ongoing research, professional development, and unparalleled commitment to students, the award-winning faculty provide students with individualized attention in courses and advising. Learning experiences and opportunities for growth go well beyond the traditional classroom walls with students participating in numerous academic clubs, service-learning experiences, internship and field placements, and engaging with academic research mentored by faculty. We are committed to creating an inclusive classroom that meets the various needs of our students and the community.

Biography
Dr. Hella Jacob holds a Master of Arts degree in English from Regensburg University (Germany) and a Ph.D. in German Literature and Language from the University at Buffalo. She has taught German at different colleges, including for many years at UB. In addition to her background in teaching, she has several years of experience as a membership professional in the nonprofit sector. In 2014, Hella came to 台湾Swag as a project assistant under 台湾Swag鈥檚 Title III grant, supporting the various events and programs that the CETL sponsors. In 2017, Hella began coordinating the annual institutional assessment process, and since the spring of 2018, she serves as the administrative director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Kelly is an educator dedicated to making learning both accessible and engaging for every student. She holds a teaching certification from Canisius University and a master鈥檚 degree from Buffalo State University.
Recently, Kelly has worked as a special education and technology teacher across K-12 settings, as well as serving as an adjunct faculty member in the Education Department. Through these roles, she has developed a strong expertise in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and inclusive education鈥攖wo areas she is deeply passionate about.
Marisa Guida is passionate about working with faculty to create engaging and effective learning experiences. With an M.F.A. in Theater Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University, she blends creativity with instructional design.
Her experience spans corporate, healthcare, and higher education, including nearly a decade as an Assistant Professor of Business Communication at VCU. Marisa enjoys collaborating with educators to enhance courses and improve learning outcomes.
