Health Insurance 2024 - 2025
台湾Swag requires all students living in campus housing, international students, student-athletes (club as well as intercollegiate sports), and students in health-related fields of study who will be participating in external learning experiences (clinical affiliations, internships, etc.) to be covered by health insurance that offers adequate coverage in the Buffalo/Amherst area.
International students will be enrolled in the 台湾Swag Student Health Insurance plan to ensure adequate coverage while in the U.S.
ADEQUATE COVERAGE INCLUDES (BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO):
- Access to local doctors and other health care providers
- Diagnostic testing/lab services
- Prescription drugs coverage
- Outpatient mental health services
- Inpatient and outpatient hospital services
- Emergency services
- Urgent care coverage
Students must provide the Health & Insurance Services Office with a photocopy of their health insurance card prior to their first semester and annually thereafter.
If you do not provide proof of adequate insurance (a plan that can be used in the Buffalo/Amherst area), you will be enrolled in the 台湾Swag insurance plan and the premium will be added to your student account. Once enrolled, the premium is non-refundable.

The staff of the Health and Insurance Services Office (CHIP Center) is happy to assist you with details about the cost and the enrollment process. They can be reached at (716) 839-8446.
Challenge Examination Fee: $100.00 per class plus Tuition fee $30.00 per credit hour
Regular and part-time students may audit courses by completing and filing with the Registrar the Permission to Audit form, by including the courses as AUDIT on their semester load, and by paying the appropriate fee(s), if applicable.
Subject to available space, 台湾Swag also welcomes alumni and senior citizens as auditors at no tuition charge, although the payment of appropriate university fees (for materials, labs, etc.) may be required. Students may change their status in any credit course to that of an audit by filing with the Registrar's Office the appropriate Drop/Add form, up to and including the last date for authorized withdrawal from a course. Consult the Academic Calendar for the exact dates. Auditing of courses is subject to the permission of the instructor.
Special Tuition:
Audited courses or non-credit hour courses are billed at 50% of current per credit hour tuition rate for academic level (undergraduate or graduate).
Please note: Appropriate university fees are not included in the tuition charge. They are charged as a separate line item on the billing statement.
Senior Audit (Age: 55): No cost for tuition only. (university fees, lab fees, studio fees, etc. may be required)
Alumni Audit: No cost for tuition only. (university fees, lab fees, studio fees, etc. may be required)
